Dr. Heidi Yellen, a Jewish doctor with a passion in Arabic Language Studies and Naturopathic Medicine, conducted a Study on Fabric Frequencies that was published in 2003. Dr. Yellen, deceased in 2017, held a ThD (Doctor of Theology) and an NMD (Naturopathic Medical Doctor) from Loma Linda University. Her interest struck from her devotion to her faith and studies. She was intrigued by the instructions in The Torah/Old Testament regarding the fabrics to avoid wearing. These messages are left to the interpretation of the reader, but they spiked the interest of Dr. Yellen enough for her to explore fabric frequencies and the effect they have on the human body, information that is still being expanded on today.
Much of what we know about ‘The Frequency of Clothing’ today is based upon Dr. Yellen’s Fabric Frequency Study. The data collected in the study brought forth the conclusion that not only does everything vibrate at its own frequency, but our energy and well-being can be based on the fabric materials we wear. Dr. Yellen was able to prove that certain fabrics emit frequencies lower than the frequency of the human body and these fabrics tend to play a role in our wellness. These fabrics that are lower in frequency will deplete our energy levels and disrupt our body’s natural balance.
The study found that the frequency of a healthy human body reverberates at around 100 Hz. This matters because any fabric that measures below 100 Hz will then create unbalance and chaos to our body’s energy field. Please note that even though we can evaluate the normal frequency of our body as a whole, the human body is NOT a single vibrating object with one specific frequency. The human body is complex and different parts vibrate at different frequencies. The overall vibrational frequency can vary based on a person’s physical and mental health, the emotional state of said person, and environmental factors.
Everything around us is made up of atoms. All energy, light and physical objects exist on a vibrational continuum. Even though we cannot visualize it, all of these atoms are constantly vibrating, and all at different speeds. Frequency is the actual vibration itself. With the technology today, (and since 2003), we can measure these frequencies and verify them scientifically. The method used to evaluate the ‘Frequencies of Clothing’ actually came about by utilizing a machine used in agriculture, called an ‘Ag-Environ machine’. This instrument was initially designed to help the Farmer know when to harvest their crops by analyzing ‘signature frequencies’ of agricultural commodities.
The details of the study
Based on the results and data collected for Dr. Yellen’s Fabric Frequency Study, there is an identifiable relationship between high-frequency fabrics and the transmission of energy within our body. The study focused on both natural and synthetic fabrics, specifically the following materials: linen, wool, cotton (both organic and non-organic), mixed fabric containing linen and wool, silk, rayon (or viscose), bamboo, spandex, polyester, acrylic and nylon. The study found that natural fabrics had much higher frequencies than those of synthetic fabrics. So let’s get into some of the specifics regarding these fabrics!
Linen Fabric:
- considered high-frequency with a frequency of 5,000 Hz
- also referred to as “The Healer Clothes” because it is often used in bandages, linen sheets and clothing
- known for its natural resistance to bacterial growth and fungi
- one of the primary natural fabrics tested for the study
- one of the most healing fabrics to wear
- not recommended to be used in a mixed fabric combination with wool or other high-frequency fabrics, as the frequencies cancel each other out
- this frequency cancellation is thought to be the reason why both The Torah and The Old Testament advise against wearing blended fabrics of linen and wool
Wool Fabric:
- like Linen, it is considered high-frequency with a frequency of 5,000 Hz
- provides physical warmth and comfort
- not recommended to be used in a mixed fabric combination with linen or other high-frequency fabrics, as the frequencies cancel each other out
- this frequency cancellation is thought to be the reason why both The Torah and The Old Testament advise against wearing blended fabrics of wool and linen
Mixed Fabrics Containing Both Linen & Wool
- when linen and wool are mixed together, they are thought to cancel each other’s vibrational frequency out
- if their high-frequency benefits are negated, then we have to wonder if this just puts our body in a neutral state OR if it negatively impacts our well-being
- clothing made of both linen and wool is referenced as being something to avoid in the Old Testament; there are instructions regarding the wearing of fabrics that are ‘Clean’ and ‘Unclean’ in the Torah
Organic & Non-Organic Cotton Fabrics:
- organic Cotton has a frequency that matches the human body, at 100 Hz
- this mirroring frequency gives your body natural alignment and balance
- non-organic cotton has a lower frequency than organic cotton, sitting around 70 Hz
- even though non-organic cotton is not considered low-frequency, it is not believed to provide the same energy boosts that organic cotton does
Silk Fabric:
- considered very low-frequency at 10 Hz
- this very low frequency could be due to chemical processing methods
- likely to drain your body’s energy and create unbalance within your body
- we have been made to believe that this fabric is the epitome of luxury
- this is not a fabric that you should wear, as it will likely disrupt your body’s natural harmony
Rayon & Bamboo Fabrics:
- considered low frequency at 15 Hz
- low-frequency is often associated with manufacturing processes for these types of fabrics
- synthetic materials are known to contain chemical residues from the manufacturing process; this effects both personal health and negatively impacts our environment
- during the cleaning process, these fabrics shed microplastics which contribute to environmental pollution
- synthetic fabrics may contain chemicals that can be absorbed through the skin, such as BPA and PFAS; the likelihood of absorption increases during exercise when the clothing absorbs more heat and moisture
Polyester, Acrylic, Nylon, & Spandex Fabrics:
- believed to have a zero frequency, which means these materials do not exhibit any natural vibrational energy
- believed to negatively impact the body’s overall health and its energy field
- during the cleaning process, these fabrics shed microplastics which contribute to environmental pollution
- synthetic fabrics may contain chemicals that can be absorbed through the skin, such as BPA and PFAS; the likelihood of absorption increases during exercise when the clothing absorbs more heat and moisture
Much of what we know on The Frequency of Clothing today is based upon the findings of Dr. Heidi Yellen’s study. The method used to evaluate the frequencies of these fabrics in relation to human health and vitality, was measured using an instrument already in existence, an ‘Ag-Environ machine’. The findings of this study are part of the ongoing investigation of bioenergetics and holistic medicine.
